In 2004, Tip Toland became the first place Groot Grant recipient for her pieces that celebrated and captured the vulnerability of humanity. Most recently, in 2021, Toland’s sculptures, “Three Sisters from Auld” were displayed at the Korean Biennale in Icheon, Korea. After winning the Korean International Ceramic Biennale (KICB) grand prize in 2019, Toland was awarded a solo show for the Biennale 2021 in which the pieces were displayed.

KICB is an international ceramic art competition that celebrates and generates discourses on the diverse artistic capabilities of artists.

Her work has been displayed across public and private collections and a plethora of museums, and this is yet another achievement for Toland. Congratulations!
