As a sculptor, scholar, curator, and writer, Ray Chen represents both Eastern and Western cultural influences in his sculptural body of work. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Chen’s artistry is a physical language that crosses the boundaries of culture, while also tapping into a reflection of two other forms—music and Ikebana – flower arrangement.

Ray’s ceramic works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally with numerous reviews and publications.

From Carbon Mouse Studios, Chen describes the embodiment of his pieces as they capture the memories of his family and ancestors.
