Jessica Segall

Jessica Segall is an artist based in New York City. Hostile and threatened landscapes are sites for her work, where she plays with both the risk of engaging with the environment and the vulnerability of the environment itself. Jessica exhibits her work internationally, including at the 2021 TED Climate Countdown and COP 26 (SC), the Havana Bienal (CU), The Queens Museum of Art (US), The Aldrich Museum (US), The Inside Out Museum(CN), Coreana Museum of Art (KR), The National Modern Art Gallery of Mongolia (MN), The Fries Museum (NL), The Museum of Contemporary Art, Vojvodina (RS), The National Museum of American Jewish History (US), The National Gallery of Indonesia (ID) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (HR). Jessica received grants from The Pollock Krasner Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, Art Matters, The Rema Hort Mann Foundation, The Virginia A. Groot Foundation, The Arts Envoy Program, and The Harpo Foundation and attended artist residencies at Skowhegan, MacDowell Colony, and Van Eyck Academie. Her work has been in Cabinet Magazine, The New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, Mousse Magazine, Flash Art, and Art in America. She received her MFA from Columbia University in 2010.
